Right to Delete Your Account and Data
You have the right to delete your FIT Love AI account and associated data at any time. This policy explains how to delete your account, what happens to your data, and what options are available to you.
How to Delete Your Account
Via Mobile App (iOS/Android):
- Open the FIT Love app and sign in
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to the Account section
- Tap Delete Account and confirm
- Your account and data are permanently deleted immediately — this cannot be undone
Can't Access the App?
Account deletion is performed in the FIT Love app (above). If you can no longer sign in to the app, request deletion by email (below) and we'll process it for you.

- Your registered email address
- Your full name (as provided in your account)
- A statement confirming you want to delete your account and data
What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from FIT Love AI systems:
- Account Information: Email, password, name, profile information
- FIT Check Data: All FIT Check scores and responses
- Profile Data: Love Language preferences, Myers-Briggs type, personal details
- FIT Check History: All past FIT Check results and dates
- AI Recommendations: All stored AI-generated coaching responses
- App Activity Logs: Records of your usage and interactions
- Authentication Data: Login records and session information
What Data Partners May Retain
Partner Data (if connected to a partner):
If you shared a partnership with another user:
- Partner's copy of shared data: Your partner may retain any data you shared with them (FIT Check results, messages, etc.) even after your account deletion. Your deletion does not automatically delete data on your partner's account.
- How to remove partner data: You can request your partner delete shared data, or you can request FIT Love AI remove shared data from their account (they will be notified).
Backup and Legal Hold:
- System backups: Your data is removed from our active systems immediately, but residual copies may remain in our encrypted disaster-recovery backups for up to 30 days, after which they are purged on the normal backup rotation. These backups are not directly accessible to users and are never restored to bring back deleted accounts.
- Legal requirements: If required by law or legal proceedings, we may retain your data beyond the standard deletion timeline.
Third-Party Services:
Certain third-party services may retain data independently:
- Google Firebase: We send Firebase the deletion request, but Firebase's backup systems may retain anonymized data according to their privacy policy
- Federated Auth Providers (Google, Facebook): These services maintain their own copies of authentication data. Deleting your FIT account does not delete your Google or Facebook account.
Timeline for Deletion
Account deletion is immediate and permanent. When you confirm deletion in the app (or by email request), we delete your account and data right away — there is no waiting period and no staged rollout.
Immediately: Your account and all associated data are removed from our active systems, and your sign-in is permanently disabled.
Within 30 days: Any residual copies in our encrypted disaster-recovery backups are purged on the normal backup rotation. These backups are never restored to bring back a deleted account.
Note: Deletion takes effect at once and cannot be reversed. If you were connected to a partner, your shared connection is ended and removed from your partner's active relationship — your partner's own account is not deleted.
Account Recovery
Can I recover my account after deletion?
No. Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no grace period and no way to undo it. Once you confirm, your account and data cannot be recovered. If you think you might want your data later, export it first (see below) before deleting.
Export Your Data
Before Deleting Your Account:
Because deletion is permanent, export a copy of your data first if you'd like to keep it. The export is self-serve and generated instantly on your device.
How to Export Your Data:
- Open the FIT Love app and sign in
- Go to Settings → Privacy
- Tap Export My Data
- A JSON file is generated on your device — save it or share it (for example to email, Files, or cloud storage)
What's Included in Your Data Export:
- Account information and profile details
- Your FIT Check scores and historical results
- Love Language and personality (Myers-Briggs) data
- Communication style, goals, and preferences
- Your relationship / partner-connection details
The export contains only your own data — it does not include another user's private information.
Data Format:
JSON — a structured, portable format suitable for your records and for importing elsewhere. Need a different format or help reading the file? Email us and we'll assist.
GDPR and CCPA Rights
This data deletion and export process supports your rights under:
- GDPR (Right to Erasure & Portability): If you're in the EU, you have the right to request deletion and a copy of your data
- CCPA (Right to Delete & Data Portability): If you're in California, you have the right to request deletion and an export of your data

Important Considerations
⚠️ Before You Delete:
- This cannot be undone: Your account and data are permanently deleted immediately upon confirmation
- Shared data remains with partner: Your partner keeps any data you shared; they must delete it separately
- Export first: If you want your data, export it before deleting your account
- Third-party data: Google/Facebook accounts are not affected by deleting your FIT account
- Active subscriptions: Deleting your account will cancel any active subscriptions; refunds are subject to our refund policy
