Right to Delete Your Account and Data

You have the right to delete your F.I.T. Love AI account and associated data at any time. This policy explains how to delete your account, what happens to your data, and what options are available to you.

How to Delete Your Account

Via Mobile App (iOS/Android):

If you cannot delete your account through the app or website, you can request deletion by emailing:

Include:

• Your registered email address
• Your full name (as provided in your account)
• A statement confirming you want to delete your account and data

What Data Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from F.I.T. Love AI systems:

• Account Information: Email, password, name, profile information
• Assessment Data: All F.I.T. Assessment scores and responses
• Profile Data: Love Language preferences, Myers-Briggs type, personal details
• Assessment History: All past assessment results and dates
• AI Recommendations: All stored AI-generated coaching responses
• App Activity Logs: Records of your usage and interactions
• Authentication Data: Login records and session information

What Data Partners May Retain

Partner Data (if connected to a partner):

If you shared a partnership with another user:

• Partner's copy of shared data: Your partner may retain any data you shared with them (assessment results, messages, etc.) even after your account deletion. Your deletion does not automatically delete data on your partner's account.
• How to remove partner data: You can request your partner delete shared data, or you can request F.I.T. Love AI remove shared data from their account (they will be notified).

Backup and Legal Hold:

• System backups: Your data may exist in backup systems for 90 days to protect against data loss. These backups are not directly accessible to users.
• Legal requirements: If required by law or legal proceedings, we may retain your data beyond the standard deletion timeline.

Third-Party Services:

Certain third-party services may retain data independently:

• Google Firebase: We send Firebase the deletion request, but Firebase's backup systems may retain anonymized data according to their privacy policy
• Federated Auth Providers (Google, Facebook): These services maintain their own copies of authentication data. Deleting your F.I.T. account does not delete your Google or Facebook account.

Timeline for Deletion

Note: Deletion of partner-connected data may take longer if both accounts need to be processed simultaneously. You will receive confirmation when deletion is complete.

Account Recovery

Can I recover my account after deletion?

Once your account is permanently deleted (after 30 days), it cannot be recovered. All associated data will be gone permanently.

Grace Period (before permanent deletion):

If you request deletion but change your mind within 7 days, you can contact us to cancel the deletion request:

After 7 days, deletion becomes permanent and cannot be reversed.

Export Your Data

Before Deleting Your Account:

If you want to keep a copy of your data before deleting your account, you can export your data:

• All account information and profile details
• All assessment scores and historical results
• Love Language and Myers-Briggs data
• AI-generated recommendations (if applicable)
• Partner connection information (if applicable)
• All messages and communication history

Export Timeline:

• Request processing: 1-3 business days
• File delivery: Sent to your registered email address
• File availability: Download link valid for 14 days

Data Format:

• JSON: Structured format for programmatic use and data portability
• CSV: Spreadsheet format for easy viewing in Excel/Sheets

GDPR and CCPA Rights

This data deletion and export process supports your rights under:

• GDPR (Right to Erasure & Portability): If you're in the EU, you have the right to request deletion and a copy of your data
• CCPA (Right to Delete & Data Portability): If you're in California, you have the right to request deletion and an export of your data
